Mandviwalla & Zafar, is proud to announce a two year legal Training Programme for fresh law graduates. The Training Programme shall be offered through the Karachi office of Mandviwalla & Zafar and shall train fresh law graduates in the essential skills required by corporate and commercial lawyers

The Training Programe aims at providing law graduates with the skill base required for the practice of law |

The Trainees shall receive on the job experience of the practical aspects of corporate and commercial law and shall be trained in the requirements of private practice in Pakistan |
|
The aim of the Training Programme is that upon completion the Trainees shall have the skills, knowledge and ability to undertake practice within the country and/or abroad |
The Trainees shall enter into a two year training contract with M&Z, setting out the terms and conditions of their training with M&Z. |
|
During the Training Programme the Trainees shall receive hands-on training in all areas of commercial and corporate legal practice, including litigation. |
|
The Training Programme shall also include lectures on various topics of law delivered by counsels and practitioners from within the firm as well as guest speakers invited for such purpose. |
| The selection for the Training Programme shall be based strictly on merit and on the outcome of the Entrance Tests | |
| The Entrance Tests comprise of a written test and an interview | |
| Any applicant that is successful in the Entrance Tests and subsequently fails its final examinations shall be ineligible for the Training Programme | |
In order to qualify for the Training Programme, the applicants will be required to meet the following criteria: |

| Law students in the final year in any of the following: | |
LLB (Hons) Degree programme offered by the University of London, External Programme |
|
LLB Degree programme recognized by the University of Karachi or any other accredited institution |
|
BA-LLB Degree programme offered by the Lahore University of Management Sciences; and |
|
LLB (Hons) Degree programme offered by foreign educational institutions (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Law Programmes” |
|
| and are enrolled in an educational institution of repute for the completion of the Law Programmes | |
Law Students enrolled in any of the Law Programmes that have not failed in any module / paper of the Law Programmes |
|
Law Students that have not repeated any year and / or appeared in a supplemental examination of the Law Programme. |

In addition to the above, (a) any Applicant that has failed to clear its final examination prior to the commencement of the Training Contract; (b) any Applicant that has terminated its Training Contract prior to its expiry; (b) any Applicant whose employment and / or internship has been terminated by M&Z in the past shall not be eligible to apply for the Training Programme. |

The next Entrance Test for the Training Programme will be held on October 15, 2011. |
|
Last date for receiving applications is September 30, 2011 |
