Founding and Senior Partner
Mandviwalla & Zafar
Mr. Mehmood Mandviwalla completed his LLB from London School of Economics and Political Science in 1983. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1984 and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
Mr. Mehmood Mandviwalla started his career litigating and to date is involved in high profile litigation before the Superior Courts of Pakistan. His role is now divided between advisory on leading transactions with focus on banking, regulatory and mergers and acquisitions along with certain high-profile disputes.
Mr. Mandviwalla has served as the former caretaker minister for law and prisons in the interim provincial government for the province of Sindh in 2013.
He has also served as on the Board of Directors of the State Bank of Pakistan for two terms and is currently a director of the Deposit Protection Corporation (subsidiary of the State Bank of Pakistan) as well as GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited.
Mr. Mandviwalla is also The Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Pakistan.

Hasan Mandviwalla graduated with LLB Hons from the School of Oriental and African Studies, completed the Solicitor’s Legal Practice Course and was subsequently called to the Bar of England and Wales, and is currently a member of the Hon’ble Society of Lincoln’s Inn.
Hasan is also the National Representative for Pakistan for the International Bar Association and also occupies positions as Officer of the Anti-Money Laundering Committee, Officer of the Young Lawyers’ Committee and Liason Officer to the Asia Pacific Regional Forum of the International Bar Association.
Hasan is both a commercial and disputes lawyer and also has a probono portfolio working regularly with the Legal Aid Society to provide access to justice for inmates of Central Jail and Women’s Correctional Facility.

Mr. Hassan Ali holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of London International Programmes and an LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Law, London.
Mr. Hassan is an Advocate of the High Court and is an experienced legal consultant with over 7 years in the legal services industry, specializing in complexed commercial litigation, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), and corporate law. Mr. Hassan was also a part-time case manager at JK Advice Centre, London during his postgraduate studies in the UK.
As a Senior Associate at Mandviwalla & Zafar (Karachi), he is currently managing and overseeing a portfolio of over 250 cases before the Superior Courts and other judicial fora.

Ms. Rabia Iftikhar graduated with High Distinction in BA-LLB (Hons.) from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. She was the Chair of the Moots Society and was also actively involved in the LUMS Law Journal editorial team.
Ms. Iftikhar regularly advises clients across the following practice areas; Corporate & Regulatory, Banking, Fintechs, Mergers & Acquisitions, Technology and Telecommunication. Ms. Iftikhar is an expert in advising foreign investors and has also built a niche in financial crimes with respect to anti-money laundering laws and regulations.
